Greg Snell is an award-winning business law attorney, author, and speaker who has been trusted legal counsel to prominent Daytona Beach area businesses and business owners for nearly 30 years. Mr. Snell spent about three years with one of the largest law firms in the country prior to resuming his Daytona Beach based practice.
He has handled complex commercial litigation across the country and obtained what was then the largest jury verdict in Volusia County history for a business client (nearly $19,000,000). Mr. Snell has achieved numerous million and multi-million dollar recoveries for business clients and has also prevailed at trial many times on behalf of business clients from whom millions of dollars, sometimes tens of millions, were sought. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum®.
Aside from business litigation Mr. Snell’s practice areas include business transactions (buying and selling businesses, employment agreements, and other business transactions) employer side employment law, intellectual property, representation of professionals (including physicians, chiropractors, judges, lawyers, dentists, CPAs, and more), construction law, and insurance coverage litigation. He has represented hospitals, colleges and universities, manufacturers, hotels and motels, automobile dealers, restaurants, contractors, community associations, professionals, service providers, web-based businesses, start-ups, airlines, insurance companies, professional athletes, artists, musicians, and virtually every type business imaginable.
Mr. Snell speaks and writes on a wide variety of business law topics and has appeared on television and radio shows with some regularity as a host, guest, and legal analyst. He has received many accolades for both professional accomplishment and community service. In 2011, Mr. Snell was the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA Volunteer of the Year. He has served as the chair, or equivalent position, of more than a dozen organizations since coming to the Daytona Beach area and has served as a member of many more. Currently Mr. Snell is on the Daytona State College Foundation Board, the Halifax Health Foundation Board, the Volusia County Business Incubator Advisory Board, the Halifax Rowing Association Board, the University of Miami Fellowship of Christian Athletes Board and is the President of the Ormond Yacht Club.
In addition to his Juris Doctor degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Snell has an accounting degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. He also studied ocean and coastal law (including maritime law) in the LLM program at the University of Miami School of Law. He is a competitive rower and amateur photographer.
